Repair a Damaged Smile with Restorative Dentistry

Damaged or missing teeth can not only detract from the function and appearance of your smile, they can also pose risks to your oral health. At Livingston Dental Arts, our experienced dentists use restorative care to improve the lives of our patients. Whether you are in need of a single tooth replacement, or an entire arch of artificial teeth, we can develop a customized treatment plan to meet your needs.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the best restorative treatment for patients with missing teeth. Implants are small metal posts that are surgically placed in the jaw. Once healed, they can provide a lifetime of support for permanent restorations.

Same-day Dental Implants

If you are continually embarrassed by your missing teeth, tired of mouth sores, desperately want to eat your favorite foods again or if you have finally had it with all the aggravation of dentures, we can replace one tooth or a full set of dentures during a single visit using Immediate Function™ same-day dental implants from Nobel Biocare™.

Dentures can be designed to replace a few teeth or an entire arch. These trusted restorations can be made for a fraction of the cost of fixed or cemented bridgework. A removable partial denture, also called a removable bridge, replaces missing teeth and fills in spaces for patients who still have some of their own teeth.

Oral Sedation

We are fully licensed to provide oral sedation during treatment. Oral sedation is an ideal solution for patients who are extremely anxious about dental work. We utilize Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas," so you will feel a calming effect during the procedure and return to normal just minutes after it is complete.

Digital Panoramic Radiography

Using non-invasive digital radiography, we can take full-mouth x-rays of your teeth in less than a second. This advanced technology does not require you to clamp down on uncomfortable film or put anything else in your mouth. Digital panoramic radiography is very popular because it solves a major issue for patients with any gag reflex.

Soft Tissue Laser

We utilize a soft tissue laser to perform gum surveys with minimal discomfort. Using a soft tissue laser, we can provide treatment with extreme accuracy. A soft tissue laser uses a narrow beam of light to vaporize matter.

DIAGNOdent Laser

The DIAGNOdent laser allows us to detect cavities that cannot be spotted with traditional x-rays or probes. By detecting cavities when they are very small, we can help you avoid significant corrective work. We can then save the good tooth structure you have and correct the problem using our air abrasion laser without the need for anesthesia or discomfort. Detecting cavities early almost always saves our patients time and money.

Air Abrasion

Air abrasion is a technique that allows doctors to fill basic cavities without the use of drills or anesthesia. Using air abrasion, we will gently dissolve decay and prepare the tooth for the filling.

A loupe is a small device used for magnification purposes. Our staff wear surgical telescopes for every operative procedure. Loupes enable us to see conditions that are undetectable to the naked eye. This results in better restorations for our patients.
